<p> Beginning May 4th, visitors to the National Aquarium will find several exciting and innovative changes to enhance their experience and provide them with opportunities to view and interact with the National Aquariums 16,000 animals in new and different ways. </p>

<p>A highlight of the changes includes a redesigned dolphin program. The existing timed, limited-access and separately priced shows will be replaced with an exciting new format that offers every Aquarium guest all day access to the Aquariums dolphins and experts, including during training, play and feeding times. Physical changes will provide greater opportunities for guests to interact with the dolphins, dolphin trainers and Aquarium staff. </p>
<p>&#13;</p>
<p>We have learned from our guests that their dolphin show is key component of their Aquarium experience, but the current platform is limited, said John Racanelli, National Aquarium CEO.  In the past, our shows could serve only 50% of our guests on peak summer days, selling out quickly and inhibiting the rest of our visitors from enjoying all that the Aquarium has to offer. Our new Dolphin Discovery enables every visitor to spend as much time as they want  all day, if they chose  observing our dolphins and their interactions.  </p>

<p>Boasting 1 million new users a day, Twitter can help boost brand awareness, increase traffic to a companys own blog or website and improve Google rankings, especially if account holders make their tweets and biography unique and keyword-rich for search engines. However, it is important to remember that Twitter is a social network at heart and is not designed to be a marketplace where companies shout their wares across the airwaves trying to make a sale. It is more a platform where businesses and individuals can maximize their social presence, share expertise, build social relations, interact with customers and gain feedback instantly.</p>
<p>&#13;</p>
<p>Focusing on sharing good, informative content that builds trust and is of value to the Twitter community is key and is more likely to have a positive knock on effect that gains a following, new customers, new work and sometimes opportunities that are quite unexpected. One Twitter user found himself embarking on a completely new career simply from tweeting a wedding photograph which subsequently led to offers of freelance photography work, a direction that he had never seriously considered before.</p>

<p>But how can companies and sole traders create Twitter accounts and tweets that offer valuable content, generating interest from other Tweeters and the search engines? Here are a few suggestions;</p>

<p>1. Choose a snappy, memorable user name. Make this as simple, short and easy to remember as possible. Include the company name or an abbreviation of it followed by a keyword relative to the nature of the business. Not always an easy task in 160 characters but the more unique, interesting and informative a brands profile is, the more likely it is to gain followers and build a trusted reputation. Also, including keywords relative to the businesss field of expertise helps search engine optimization immensely.</p>

<p>3. Pick a perfect image that best represents the business or brand for the Twitter profile and name the Jpeg with two or three keywords to increase SEO.</p>

<p>4. Introduce Tweeters to the company website or blog and increase traffic. Including a business URL on a twitter profile is a great way to encourage more Twitter traffic to visit the companys website. It also inspires more trust from Twitter users when a business is easy to access and learn more about in a click.</p>

<p>5. Tantalise Tweeters with compelling tweets.  Tasty nuggets of valuable information that arouse the communitys curiosity, provide interesting insights, point them in the direction of a great brand, offer or deal, or simply offer a titter of amusement, can be real gems in the Twitter sphere. Despite having only 140 characters to work with, Tweets should aim to cover all this and more while also including keywords and hash tags to boost rankings.</p>

<p>6. Add some extra vroom to tweets with a short, snappy video. Embedding videos in tweets can add variety, get the message across in a fast and entertaining way and have more of an impact. The main thing is to think of them like a trailer and keep them short.</p>

<p>7. Be a generator and boost presence by authoring creative content. Despite Twitters increasing user figures, which are estimated to reach around 350 million registered users by the year end, Twitter say only 5% of users are generating 75% of the content. That gives companies and individuals who create original, interesting tweets with links to articles and videos more of an edge and the potential to go viral and gain the most coverage.</p>

<p>8. Rustle up Re-tweets. Re-tweeting is basically when content goes viral as Twitter users spread the word by sending the tweet to other Tweeters. As 92% of users re-tweet in response to content that they think is valuable or unique it is certainly worth writing content that invites a re-tweet. It is possible to ask for one directly but it is better if the content itself inspires users to respond without a prompt. Using hash tags enables more people to view a businesss tweets even if they are not following the brand and keeping tweets short so users can prefix a few words before sending it on can help to encourage re-tweets too. According to statistics released by Twitter, 5pm is the best time to get re-tweeted.</p>
<p>&#13;</p>
<p>9. Love creating lists or learn to because people follow lists especially on Twitter and search engines are pretty fond of them too. With Twitter Lists a business can create mini directories of Tweeters and tweets on subjects that may be of interest to people following the brand. The company and its followers can easily get a fast overview of whatever Tweeters are talking about in a real-time stream whether they are following those users or not.</p>

<p>10. Keep tweeting regularly. How often though depends very much on the business and the quality of information to tweet. There is little use in bombarding the community with tweets lacking in content just to maintain a presence and users generally dont accept businesses contacting them as easily as friends. Some businesses feel tweeting ten or more times a day is acceptable while others may only tweet once a day or a few times a week. It is really a case of try it and see what feels suitable, but wherever possible, respond to any replies to tweets as soon they come in.</p>

For the photographers who prefer full control of every shot, the built-in manual focusing allows the flexibility for tweaking and modifying the focus at any time. </p>

<p>Structurally, the EF 24-70mm f/2.8L II USM is the latest lens from the elite L-series to offer Canons high-grade and user-focused design enhancements. The lens has been updated to offer enhanced zoom durability and greater shake- and shock-resistance within the lens barrel. </p>

<p>The size of the lens has also been reduced by 10mm compared to the previous model, providing enhanced portability and mobility for everyday usage. A new Zoom Lock lever also allows photographers to lock the zoom position to prevent damage to the lens in transit. In addition, this lens is constructed to be waterproof and dustproof, which allows the user to shoot in harsh conditions.</p>

<p> Photogenic Professional Lighting, a leading manufacturer of photographic lighting equipment and accessories, announces the launch of the PL5R-FRES Fresnel Modifier, a 5-inch vented conical reflector with Fresnel Glass lens and two-panel barn doors.  </p>

<p>The PL5R-FRES is designed for glamour and product photography and produces a crisp beam of light with defined soft shadow edges, creating smooth even-coverage. The removable Fresnel Glass is constructed as an optical spotlight with a well-designed circle border that fades outwards from the center, producing a flood-style beam. Additionally, the lens satin-anodized reflective surface allows the light transition to create beautiful skin tones, as well as sharp details. </p>

<p>Several glamour photographers who we work with, came to us and asked for a product that would allow them to expand their creativity and increase the efficiency of their shoots.  We designed the PL5R-FRES Fresnel Modifier to work for the modern Hollywood-style photographer, allowing their concept to be created or enhanced on set, said Bob Higgins, Sales and Marketing Manager of PromarkBRANDS.  The Fresnel Modifier is compatible with the Photogenic Quick Change and Norman Monolight systems, making these lights ideal for photographers who concentrate in glamour, portrait and product photography.</p>

<br />The PL5R-FRES can be used with a variety of Photogenics lighting solutions, adding accents, highlights or drama, for increased versatility on the shoot. When the two-blade Barn Door mount is attached, the PL5R-FRES has increased light control to focus on a particular subject or block light from an area of the shoot, highlighting the subject as desired. The Fresnel Modifier can also be moved into the background of any photo shoot to add a dramatic feel to the set. </p>
